Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside once cooked al dente.
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the chicken thighs and sirloin steak. Season both with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken thighs and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sirloin steak. Cook for about 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Once cooked to your liking, remove it from the skillet and let it rest before slicing it thinly.
In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed, then add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Chop the tomatoes and add them to the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
Zest the orange and add the zest to the tomato mixture. Squeeze the juice of the orange into the skillet as well, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Slice the cooked chicken thighs and sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Add them back to the skillet with the tomato sauce, allowing them to warm through.
Toss the cooked pasta with the chicken, steak, and sauce in the skillet until everything is well coated. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary.
Serve hot, garnishing with additional orange zest or fresh herbs if desired.
